On January 21st, 2026, Skylar had the privilege of sharing a message with the upper school students of Pinewood Christian Academy in Belville, Georgia. While none of us are fully in control of what happens in our lives, we all have the ability to choose how we respond to the things that come our way. When hard things come our way in life, Skylar believes we have two options: to run towards God, or to run away from him. As someone who has found such comfort, strength, and purpose in God during the hardest seasons of her life, Skylar encourages her listeners to draw near to God in their difficult times as well. Even in the midst of pain and suffering, Skylar believes it is possible to continue to have faith in God, because of who he is, and what he’s promised us in his word.
